The ground blind, maximum concealment

The ground blind is a hunting tent that fully hides your movements. Ideal where the terrain doesn't allow a tower stand, it shines for bowhunting and for the wary Wild turkey.

Key advantages

  • Breaks your outline: inside, your movements (drawing a bow, shouldering) go unnoticed.
  • Contains part of your scent and shelters you from wind and rain.
  • Mobile: move it as game shifts from day to day.

Setting it up

  1. Pitch it a few days ahead if possible so game gets used to it.
  2. Back it against vegetation (cedars, brush) to avoid the "box in the open field" look.
  3. Open only the windows you need for your shooting lanes.
  4. Wear black inside: the dark backdrop makes you invisible behind the openings.

Limits

  • Narrower field of view than a tower stand.
  • In a drive, signal your presence for safety; stay visible in orange when arriving and leaving.

A well-hidden blind set up early gets you close to game without being spotted.
